VDP: Vertical Design Problem
It is an intra departmental competition. There is a jury of professors, who divide the undergraduate students into groups vertically, i.e., each group contains students from all the years. A design problem statement is given, to be completed in a given time. After the time interval, the jury evaluates the presentations and a winner is declared. The prizes are sponsored by alumnis and renowned companies like Snowcem.
